Maddie is a social and environmental psychologist passionate about using behavioural science to address real-world problems. Her research spans collective climate action, the protein transition, and how humans perceive and relate to nature and other animals. She also leads work on fostering partnerships between scientists, Māori, and other community groups.
Matt Mackay

Matt is a postdoctoral researcher in social and environmental psychology at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. His research explores climate change communication, focusing on how different messages and messengers shape public understanding of environmental issues.

Chris's research sits at the intersection of environmental, social, and moral psychology. He studies public support for systemic climate change policies, attitudes towards biodiversity, and the role of aesthetic judgments in morality.

Kelly's research focuses on the social and psychological determinants of environmental sustainability, including sustainable water management, climate change beliefs, and behaviour change communication. She works closely with local councils, state government, and catchment management authorities.

Kimin's research examines prosociality — why individuals and groups act in ways that benefit others and the planet — in the context of challenges like climate change and pandemics. He also studies the psychology of happiness and wellbeing, and has been recognised as a Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science.

Claudia's research explores the individual, social, and contextual factors shaping pro-environmental behaviour — including the role of emotions, social trends, and how information is communicated. She uses methods ranging from cross-cultural surveys to field experiments.

David is a PhD student supervised by Professor Matthew Hornsey and Dr Samuel Pearson. His research interests include climate psychology, belief change, and social cognition.
